  • Add to my SkiindexAntillanca
  • Ski resort located 1015 km south of Santiago and 98 kilometers east of Osorno, accessible by a well maintained road. The top lift served elevation is 1530 m, base elevation 1050 m. There are trails for all ability levels and much off-piste skiing. Antillanca resort has 5 lifts including a chair lift.
  • Add to my SkiindexAntuco
  • Antuco is the second and highest (3,585m; 11,762ft) of Chile's southern volcanoes. The ski area is typical of the small, club-run resorts of South America. Antuco's two surface lifts climb about a third of the volcano and offer open-slope skiing for all levels.
  • Add to my SkiindexCerro Mirador
  • Cerro Mirador is easily the best ski area in Patagonia. It is reminiscent of some of the smaller ski resorts in Vermont and is one of the few ski hills on the continent with all tree-lined runs. Although there is just one chairlift, some 20 trails of varying difficulty fan out in every direction from the top.
  • Add to my SkiindexChapa Verde
  • Four-season family resort located approximately 80 km south of Santiago. The vertical drop is about 700 m. There are trails for all ability levels and some of the best off- piste skiing in Chile. Chapa has 4 lifts.
  • Add to my SkiindexCorralco
  • In the Region of the Araucanía Corralco it is the newest center of ski of Chile, that in 2004 offers a new alternative of great quality to the skiers and Chilean and foreign snowboarders. Only one and half hour average from the airport of Temuco and three and a half hours average from Conception, the center offers excellent tracks in the 200 hectares to which they give access the ferry cables.
  • Add to my SkiindexEl Colorado
  • 50 km east of Santiago, accessible by a well maintained paved road. The top lift served elevation is 3333 m. The base elevation is 2430 m. Trails are of all ability levels, and the resort has much off-piste skiing. Trails connect to Valle Nevado ski area. El Colorado recently installed 2500 meters of snowmaking pipe. This covers three trails on the mid and lower mountains. Snowboarders are welcome.
  • Add to my SkiindexEl Fraile
  • In the heart of archipelagic Chile, in a region only recently accessible to international tourists, lies a small ski area called El Fraile. It is without a doubt the most remote and unknown ski area in South America. El Fraile was built by the federal government to provide recreation for the hearty pioneers they hope to attract to the region.
  • Add to my SkiindexLa Burbuja
  • The southernmost ski area of Chile's Lakes District. The modern lift climbs a small part of the south face of the glaciated Osorno Volcano (2,652m; 8,701ft), the most rugged and alpine of all of Chile's southern volcanoes.
  • Add to my SkiindexLa Parva
  • 50 km east of Santiago, accessible by a well maintained paved road. The top lift served elevation is 3630 m. The base elevation is 2662 m. Skiers and riders can explore trails, slopes, bowls and chutes for all ability levels. La Parva has connecting trails to Valle Nevado and El Colorado ski areas. A three mountain lift ticket allows access to 50+ lifts.
  • Add to my SkiindexLagunillas
  • Ski area located 18km (11 miles) up a subsidiary valley from the canyon of the Maipo River. The ski area faces south in a broad saddle between Punta Sattler and Cerro La Cruz. The highest mountain in the region is the Cerro San Lorenzo; at 3,902m (12,802ft) it dominates the view while coming up the Maipo Valley.
  • Add to my SkiindexLas Araucarias / El Llaima
  • While Villarrica-Pucón attracts an upscale crowd, the more modest slopes at the Llaima volcano attract less experienced skiers and students from the surrounding region. At Las Araucarias, a new partnership seeks to serve the unsatisfied market of dedicated local skiers who don't like the weather or the prices at the internationally-oriented Villarrica-Pucón.
  • Add to my SkiindexLonquimay
  • Ski resort 600 km south of Santiago built atop a volcano that last erupted in 1989. Fortunately the eruption caused no damage to the ski lifts. There is one lift and one intermediate trail. The vertical is about one hundred meters.
  • Add to my SkiindexPortillo
  • 152 km from Santiago, accessible by a well maintained, four-season, paved road. The ski area has 12 lifts, including 4 chairlifts. The top lift served elevation is 3348 meters. The base elevation is 2590 meters. Because of the high elevation, the powder is world class. Each year several top world ski teams train on Portillo's slopes.
  • Add to my SkiindexTermas de Chillan
  • Ski area located 480 km south of Santiago, accessible by a well maintained paved road and a dirt access road. The top lift served elevation is 2700 m, base elevation 1600 m. There are trails for all ability levels and much off-piste skiing. For snowboarders the resort has a snowboard park and a halfpipe. Powder snow is somewhat heavier here.
  • Add to my SkiindexThree Valleys
  • The Three Valleys (an unofficial name for the area) is South America's largest ski complex. With over 40 lifts, 4 separate villages, several on mountain restaurants, heliskiing, a 4,000 foot lift-served vertical drop, and international ski schools, Three Valleys is one of the finest mountain resorts in the world. It consists of three separately owned areas: La Parva, Valle Nevado and El Colorado-Farellones.
  • Add to my SkiindexValle Nevado
  • Ski area 62 km east of Santiago, accessible by a well maintained paved road. The top lift served elevation is 3670 m, base elevation 2805 m. Trails are for all ability levels and much off-piste skiing. Trails connect to both El Colorado and La Parva ski areas. Snowboarding facilities include park and pipe.
  • Add to my SkiindexVillarrica-Pucon
  • 800 km south of Santiago. The area is on an active volcano. Weather here is a real problem. Chances are some type of precipitation falls on any given winter day. But when it is sunny, it is gorgeous. The top lift served elevation is 2080 m, base elevation 1200 m. Trails serve all ability levels, and skiers and snowboarders may choose from many off-piste runs. Villarrica-Pucon ski area has 9 lifts altogether.
