  • Add to my SkiindexAlta Patagonia
  • Ski & snowboard resort in the Patagonia district. It has an excellent lift infrastructure that includes a high speed, 6 person chairlift, a high speed quad, and an aerial tramway.
  • Add to my SkiindexCaviahue
  • About half-way between Las Leñas and Bariloche, against the border of Chile between Antuco and Lonquimay, is the 2,980m (9,775ft) summit of the Volcán Copahue. On the east side of this broad mountain, near the west shore of the U-shaped Lake Caviahue, an international-level ski resort is being built.
  • Add to my SkiindexCerro Bayo
  • Located 9 km from the attractive city of Villa la Angostura. The forests that cover its hillsides and the closeness of the Correntoso and Nahuel Haupi lakes make its sights look like unforgettable postcards. 11 ski lifts allow the skiers not to waste time in the queue to enjoy the 20 km of ski trails.
  • Add to my SkiindexChapelco
  • Four season resort located in the province of Neuquen, 20 km from the city of San Martin de los Andes. Considered as one of the three biggest ski resorts in Argentina. 40 km of mostly wide-open terrain with 9 lifts. Includes big snowboarding park.
  • Add to my SkiindexGran Catedral / Bariloche
  • Located 20 kilometers (12 miles) from the city of Bariloche in Patagonia, Argentina. 65 km of wide-open, largely intermediate runs serviced by 32 lifts. This is the oldest and most famous Argentina's ski resort, not far from the Chilean border.
  • Add to my SkiindexLa Hoya
  • Ski area 15 km from Esquel city, in the province of Chubut. Its geografical location and the orientation of its slopes, situated between 1,350 and 2,000 metres above sea level, assure the skiers the possibility of enjoying the snow even after the season closure of the rest of the major ski resorts. 8 lifts, lots of great off-piste opportunities.
  • Add to my SkiindexLas Lenas
  • Situated 1,000 km from Buenos Aires, in the heart of the Andes Mountains, 70 km from Malargüe and 200 km from San Rafael, Mendoza, all three with their own airport. The nearest town to the spot is Los Molles at a distance of 20 km. 60km of skiable terrain with 12 lifts. Many regard its off-piste potential as the finest in the southern hemisphere.
  • Add to my SkiindexLos Penitentes
  • A mid-sized ski resort on the international highway between Santiago and Mendoza. Penitentes began operations in 1979 and fills the huge gap between Mendoza's local resort, Vallecitos, and the international-level development of Portillo, 30km (19 miles) west. Penitentes is characterized by a few simple lifts which ascend the base of some magnificent mountains. With the summit of Aconcagua, the highest peak in the Western Hemisphere, about 25km (15 miles) distant, it is easy to imagine the ruggedness of the terrain.
  • Add to my SkiindexPerito Moreno
  • A small ski area owned and operated by the Club Andino Piltriquitrón 25km northwest of El Bolsón. Four short tow lifts have been installed alongside the tidy main run for beginner and intermediate skiers. A modern Doppelmayr T-Bar then hauls skiers from the top of the highest tow to a point well below the rounded summit of the Pico Mayor.
  • Add to my SkiindexRobles Catedral
  • Skiing and snowboarding in the Patagonia district, at Rio Negro. 70km of mainly treeless, reasonably varied, well-groomed and pleasantly long trails of all grades, plus some interesting off-piste opportunities. The skiing season lasts here from mid June to mid October. 1,050m - 2,098m altitude. Efficient lift system, few queues, vibrant apres-ski.
  • Add to my SkiindexUshuaia
  • There are about seven individual ski centers in the Ushuaia area. Since each is quite small, the descriptions deviate from the normal format. The two alpine ski areas, Wolfgang Wallner and Glacier Martial, are located just north of and overlooking Ushuaia. Between the two is the Club Andino's nordic ski area called Francisco Jerman.
  • Add to my SkiindexValdelen
  • Located at the weathered end of the Andes on a sub-range called the Sierra La Dorotea. This may be the smallest ski area in South America, but it seems to have the highest proportion of skiers to residents on the continent. The slopes become crowded every day around 4.30pm when working parents are free to car-pool their kids up to the ski hill.
  • Add to my SkiindexVallecitos
  • A small ski area owned and operated by the Ski Club Mendoza. Skiing at Vallecitos is characterized by open, treeless, rolling slopes covered with abundant snow. There is plenty of advanced terrain both in the ski area and out-of-bounds, but most skiers will need only one full day to fully explore the lift-serviced slopes.
